| Traveling
around the world and living in diferent cities i became a cityzen of nowere
and everywhere. I pick images here and there; milano, paris, madrid, munich, caracas, bogota, panama; images of the places inside the places; non places with no time; places-non places where i use to live: train and metro stations, airports, fast food restaurants, waiting rooms, self service laundries and discount supermarkets. Each place, each metro station can be another, in another city 10 000km far away; people running to catch their destinies, inmigrants building their own houses far away from they where born; giants points of meeting, cross points and cross roads of destinies, languages and cultures. Velocity, compression and vanishing of time, the "inevitable" condition of a ficcion, everyday`s ficcion; the virtuality and complexity of life in contemporary societies.As an artist i just pretend to show it, to shake it a littlel bit, because the intention of the artist must be to show what others can t see : movement and changing as the consequence of it. Using images that tend to abstraccion, i create of my work a ficcion of another ficcion; moving images that dissolve into others in continuity, to stimulate a minimal refleccion.
